In August, the Philippines will take the chair of the coordinating country moderating ties between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

China will cooperate with the Philippine government to ensure the success of a series of activities such as the 15th anniversary of the China-ASEAN strategic partnership.

China is now the largest trading partner of the Philippines, the largest source of imports and the fourth largest export destination. At present, China has become the second largest source of foreign tourists among the Philippines. Last year, it reached nearly 1 million tourists to China.
